And so here I am. Trying really really really hard to have a good attitude and get excited about the summer. Four months of God and me.
Here's what my summer will most likely consist of...
May:
-Cleaning out my entire room and getting rid of half of it.
-Going to Grandma's house to work for three days
-Job interview
(read my stack of books)
June:
-Work
-Ecuador
-I turn 20
-Big Ticket Festival
-reading my books
-hanging out with Delaney (:
July:
-nannying
-working
-reading
-hanging out with Delaney
-Reading my books on the hammock in the sunshine with a cold glass of lemonade
August:
-Hanging out with Delaney
-Working
-Nannying
-Learning about leadership
-Getting ready for school
Yes, that is my summer. I should be excited, and not to say I'm not, I am. I'm excited to really seek out the Lord and learn more about myself. I'm pretty sure one can learn just as much about them-self away from school, than in school. It's all good.
I just do not want to go through the motions. Just like every other summer. I really yearn to grow and maybe it'll be nice to take a breather from school. We will have to wait and see.
(this is making me not so sad)
It's been a good year. No, it's been fantastic. Like I said before, it's been hard. SO HARD. But I look back and can honestly say that God is faithful! Always and forever. Praise the Lord that He has us in the palm of his hand. I have no idea what I would do without Jesus. I really do not. Life maybe would be easier, but definitely not fulfilling. So, I choose to look forward.
I think I want goals for this summer. My dad will probably give me that speech anyways, so might as well start ahead.
1. Grow deeper in love with Jesus.
2. Do devos everyday
3. Keep my room clean
4. Read ALL my books
5. Develop some sort of exercise routine.
6. Keep in contact with my friends.
7. Get a car
And that is all. I'm going to write these on a piece of paper and hide it.
Okay. It's time to go. I'm supposed to be watching Lost right not. Someone is about to get shot.
The end. Until next time...
Oh, and remember that God is ALWAYS faithful.
